Whew...this one got the longest name...it's very special...hehehe
Lei and I ate for the very first time at Fish & Co. in SM MOA. She ordered the "Fish" part which is the NY Fish & Chips while I ordered the "Co." part which is Grilled Porkchops...yeah...I was so stupid ordering pork in a resto named "FISH & Co."...hahaha...
The food was great but the price...oh well, let's just say that we are not going there on ordinary days hehehe...
That gave us an idea...why not cook something similar to what we ate without damaging our wallet...so here it is...CREAM DORY WITH LEMON BUTTER CREAM SAUCE - our version of Fish & Co.'s NY Fish & Chips :)
Ingredients:- 2 whole slices of cream dory fillet
- 2 cups of bread crumbs
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 lemon
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 6 tbsp mayo
- 4 tbsp evaporated milk
- Salt and pepper
- Cooking oil
Procedure:
Cream Dory
- Season fish with salt and pepper on both sides
- Dip fish in egg and coat it with bread crumbs
- Heat cooking oil in a pan and fry fish (one at a time and make sure not to overcook it)
Lemon Butter Cream Sauce- Mix together mayo, butter, juice of half the lemon, salt and pepper, and evaporated milk in a bowl
- Heat sauce pan (low heat)
- Pour in the sauce mixture and bring to a simmer
- Add salt and pepper
- Just before you serve the fish, pour sauce mixture over the fish

Serves: 2
The NY Fish & Chips is good but we think it would be better to pair it with garlic rice :) Enjoy!
